MELUNGEON KINGS

Melungeon Kings is a stoner mountain doom band from Bulls Gap, northeast Tennessee.

We descend from the Melungeons, a unique folklore that is a real part of this region of the southern mountains. You should look it up—it’s a fun read.

We have been developing our unique sound in our home studio, evolving from a 4-track cassette recorder to the modern digital format. We experiment with a variety of heavy riffs and melodic hooks that leave a groove inside your head, accompanied by sharp, dark southern lyrics. Our wicked tongue sparks a fire, making you remember what you heard for days.
