DHARMA GUNS

Dharma Guns play rock ’n’ roll infused with protopunk and Scandi action influences. Their sing-along choruses, fiery guitar licks, and gritty groove capture what rock ’n’ roll is all about. Their lyrics paint vivid images of a world filled with madness, nightmares, and shattered dreams, like slogans spray-painted across concrete walls.

Bursting onto the Finnish rock scene, Dharma Guns released their debut album, Ex-Generation Superstars, in November 2024. Known for their high-energy performances both on and off stage, the band’s story continued in April 2026, when their second album, Nightmares and Broken Dreams, dropped, preceded by four singles accompanied by music videos. The album release tour kicked off in their hometown of Helsinki and reached as far as the British Isles during a run from Scotland to London.

It all started when guitarist Pete (Huuto!, ex-Dead Fun, ex-Turun Romantiikka) realized he'd written a dozen new songs without the right kind of singer to perform them, he took a leap into the unknown and decided to sing them himself. All he needed was a bunch of rockers to back him up in a band that took its name from Jack Kerouac's legendary novel Dharma Bums. Musically, the references spanned the swagger of Hanoi Rocks and Guns N’ Roses and the raw energy of MC5 and The Hellacopters.

Helsinki-based rockers Edu (ex-Bad Valentines, ex-Plastic Tears), Jussi (ex-Vanity Ink), and Olli (Jo Below, Mönni) listened to the demos and immediately jumped on board. Since everything needs to be labeled these days, they decided to call themselves dandy punks.

The band is moving forward at full speed! The first rehearsal took place in November 2023, and by June 2024 their debut album was recorded. By the end of 2026, they have released two albums, nine singles accompanied by music videos, and played dozens of gigs in five different countries.

In August 2026, the band’s story moved on to the next chapter when they signed a recording deal with the renowned Australian label Golden Robot Records.
