The Wednesday Incident are a Birmingham-based (UK) band blending world music, rock, and indie into a distinctive sound. Within world music, they draw particular inspiration from the hypnotic riffs and complex rhythms of Mali, which have deeply shaped their sense of groove and texture. Lyrically, the band takes cues from storytellers such as Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, while their musical influences include Pink Floyd, MGMT, and Babe Rainbow. Since forming at university, The Wednesday Incident have headlined two Birmingham shows this year and made their debut appearances in Liverpool and London.
