MAIA

Maia is a singer-songwriter. Her style could largely be called indie rock. Maia has two types of songs: songs about life and songs about love. Her songs about life take up about fifty percent of her music while her songs about love take up the other fifty percent. Truly Maia’s lyrics are unique and original, you won’t find lyrics similar to them anywhere out there. Maia’s love songs can range from passionate to pessimistic about love; there are even a couple break up songs in there. Maia’s songs about life often contain advice and encouragement and touch on very random topics. Maia employs many different techniques with her music, some songs are very metaphorical while others tell stories. I think that the listener will be impressed by Maia’s ability to make her words rhyme in perfect harmony with each other and still make sense. Maia truly has a way with words.

Maia began writing songs after sharing a poem that she had written with a boy she liked. He asked her to start writing songs. Three of Maia’s songs were inspired by him. She also turned the poem that she had read to him into a song. And so we see that everyone we meet adds something to our lives. Hopefully meeting Maia through her music will add something to your life.

Maia would describe herself as a tomboy. Her dress and appearance could be described as casual. Maia looks better without makeup and with her hair uncurled. She is very informal in her dress and in her manners and has no intention of being “sexy,” or “refined” for her fans. She doesn’t have the personality or the inclination for it. She isn't here to be a model, she is here to share her art.

Among Maia’s other interests are car mechanics, cooking and the Spanish language all of which she is very passionate about and avidly studies and slowly improves on day by day. Maia would encourage every reader to find something that they are interested in or good at and to spend thirty minutes each day improving in it.
